Public Citizen: Trump's Ballroom Donors Won More Than $50 Billion in Federal Contracts in Six Months, With Lockheed Alone Getting $43.8 Billion

A June 4, 2026 report from the watchdog group Public Citizen found that 14 of the 27 publicly identified corporate donors to President Trump's $400 million White House ballroom have won new or expanded federal contracts worth more than $50 billion in the six months since the project's fundraising began. The ballroom is replacing the East Wing, which Trump demolished in October.

Lockheed Martin, a ballroom donor, received by far the most, about $43.8 billion in new or expanded federal funding since the previous autumn. Booz Allen Hamilton followed with more than $4.2 billion and Palantir with just over $1 billion; other donors that gained federal business include Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Caterpillar, and T-Mobile.

Public Citizen also noted that many of the same companies are facing federal enforcement actions over alleged wrongdoing, or have had such actions suspended by the Trump administration since the start of his second term. The pattern, donors to a presidential vanity project reaping billions in government contracts while their regulatory exposure eases, raises pay-to-play and conflict-of-interest concerns (see White House Ballroom Funded by $400 Million From Corporate Donors; a Judge Orders Construction to Stop, Ruling 'The President Is Not the Owner').
