This was treason.” Attorney General Pam Bondi formed a, “Strike Force” and initiated a grand jury investigation. On January 12, 2026, a grand jury was empaneled in Fort Pierce, Florida to investigate Obama-era officials.
Trump posted a fake video of Obama being arrested and stated, “After what they did to me and whether it”s right or wrong, it's time to go after people." However, experts say the declassified documents offer no evidence of criminal conduct, and grand juries have been increasingly rejecting Trump administration's politically-motivated prosecutions, including charges against James Comey and Letitia James.
