Withdrew United States from World Health Organization (Again)

Trump signed Executive Order 14155 on his first day in office (January 20, 2025), withdrawing the United States from the World Health Organization for the second time. After the required one-year notice period, the U.S. formally exited WHO on January 22, 2026. All U.S. funding to WHO was terminated, and U.S. personnel were recalled from WHO headquarters and offices worldwide. This was the second withdrawal attempt - Trump began withdrawal in July 2020 during his first presidency, but Biden reversed it in January 2021.

Experts warned the withdrawal would hamper global response to disease outbreaks.
