Trump has maintained a decade-long pattern of misogynistic attacks on women — particularly female journalists — using appearance-based insults, demands they be silenced, and degrading language. The pattern has escalated sharply in the second term.
The first-term record is extensive. Megyn Kelly: “blood coming out of her wherever.” Mika Brzezinski: “Low IQ Crazy Mika, bleeding badly from a face-lift.” Carly Fiorina: “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that?” Stormy Daniels: “Horseface.” Rosie O'Donnell: “Fat pig, dog, slob, disgusting animal.”
The second term brought a documented acceleration. In November-December 2025 alone: Catherine Lucey (Bloomberg) — “Quiet, piggy” aboard Air Force One after she asked about Epstein files. Katie Rogers (NYT) — called “ugly.” Kaitlan Collins (CNN) — “stupid and nasty.” Rachel Scott (ABC) — “most obnoxious reporter.” An unnamed female reporter who asked about Iran was told Trump had “a lot of problems” with her.
In April 2026, Trump attacked Fox News host Jessica Tarlov three times in one month because she cited his accurate 35% approval rating. He called her “one of the Least Attractive and Talented People on all of Television,” said her voice was “so grating and terrible,” and demanded Fox executives “GET HER OFF THE AIR.” He wrote directly to Fox: “Take Jessica Tarlov off the air. She is, from her voice, to her lies, and everything else about her, one of the worst 'personalities' on television, a real loser!” Tarlov's poll numbers were verified by CNN/SSRS and multiple independent pollsters.
The Society of Professional Journalists stated: “These incidents are not isolated; they are part of an unmistakable pattern of hostility — often directed at women — that undermines the essential role of a free and independent press.”
