DOJ Deletes Then Restores Epstein File With Trump Allegations After Going Viral

On January 30, 2026, the DOJ released 3.5 million pages of Epstein files including document EFTA01660679 containing 'numerous complaints and allegations involving powerful individuals, including Donald Trump." After screenshots went viral on social media, the DOJ immediately removed the 467KB PDF from their website. By 2:17 PM ET, the document was restored to justice.gov/epstein, though investigators are checking for additional redactions.

This follows Trump's opposition to releasing the files, his statement that 'my friends will get hurt," and his vicious attacks on MTG for supporting transparency. The deletion appears to be a deliberate cover-up attempt by Trump's own DOJ.
