Trump Has Pocketed $1.5 Million Licensing the 'God Bless the USA' Bible, Which Is Printed in China

Trump's financial disclosures show he has now earned $1,514,521 licensing his name to the “God Bless the USA” Bible: $1,306,035 reported the year before, plus another $208,486 for 2025. The Bible, created by country singer Lee Greenwood and marketed by Trump during the 2024 campaign, pairs the King James text with the U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the lyrics to Greenwood's “God Bless the USA.” It retails for roughly $60 to $100.

CBS News has reported that the Bibles are printed in China, an awkward detail for a president who built his political identity partly on attacking Chinese trade practices and imposing tariffs on Chinese goods. Trump has called the Bible his “favorite book,” though he has repeatedly struggled to name a favorite verse or discuss its contents.

Annie Laurie Gaylor of the Freedom From Religion Foundation summarized the objection: “Trump wraps himself in Christianity ... while enriching himself to the tune of more than $1.5 million,” adding that “religion should never be a marketing strategy.” The Bible income is one line in a disclosure that also reported roughly $1.4 billion from crypto ventures, another entry in the pattern of a sitting president monetizing his name and office (see Trump's Disclosure Lists About $2 Billion Coming In During His First Year Back, $1.4 Billion of It From Crypto).
